LEAD Grant from the North Country Housing Council
The North Country Housing Council is currently subcontracted with St. Lawrence County to administer a LEAD grant to assist homeowners/renters with LEAD issues in their homes. Specifically with households that have children age 5 years and younger, who have tested with high lead levels in their blood. We are working with and taking referrals from SLC Public Health as well. Eligible households will need to meet the income guidelines and have proof of LEAD testing for the children residing in the household. If you or someone you know is currently living in a home built before 1978 as a home owner or renter and have children 5 years and younger who have been tested for LEAD levels and tested high, please contact our agency at 315-386-8576 and speak to our Rehabilitation Specialist and lead coordinator for this grant, Christine Martin. She can provide with you further information and an application.
